Thanks to everyone who attended our 10th Anniversary Woodturning Symposium. We had another 'great' Symposium. 275 total in attendance, and raised $8,185 at the Auction, the proceeds of which go towards awarding full and course only scholarships to John C. Campbell Folk School. Sincere thanks to all the people that participated in winning the bids at the Auction.
Very special thanks to:
- Our 4 featured demonstrators – Dixie Biggs, George Hatfield, Mike Mahoney, and Michael Mocho - Thanks for giving of your time and special talents to share with the attendees.
- Our guest demonstrators – Nick Cook, Kirk DeHeer, George Farrar, Lyle Jamieson, John Jordan, and Rudolph Lopez.
- John Hill for graciously volunteering to be our auctioneer. I believe John got every dollar that was available, and then some!
- The vendors that signed on to be a part of our symposium. We hope you had good sales and will return for our 11th Symposium. And one big thanks for your donations to our Auction.
- All the guys that volunteered to man the video cameras during the presentations, and to those that helped out at the Auction.
- To those that donated an item(s) to the Auction. We appreciate your contributions and support.
- All that brought their woodturned items for display in the instant Gallery - there were many great pieces for everyone's enjoyment.
- All the Board members and their wives for making this year's Southern States Symposium a great success.
Congratulations to the winners of the $25 Gift Certificates and door prizes.
SOUTHERN STATES XI - April 29, 30 and May 1 - our featured demonstrators will be
